CUMILLA, Three people were killed and two others injured as a microbus lost control and hit a tree in Madhaiaya area under Chandina upazila of the district today.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The accident occurred in the area when the microbus lost control and collided with a roadside tree around 3pm, leaving three passengers dead on the spot, officer-in-charge (OC) of Elliotganj Highway Police Station Manjurul Alam Molla said.
The injured were taken to Chandina Upazila Health Complex, he said.
Police recovered the bodies from the spot, the OC added.
