Members of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in
two separate raids, arrested Awami League (AL) Organising Secretary Ahmed
Hossain and former Chairman of Chittagong Port Rear Admiral (retd) Mohammad
Sohail from city’s Rampura and Banani areas.
DMP’s Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Md Obaidur Rahman confirmed the
incident to BSS saying: “Two DMP teams conducted raids in the areas on
Tuesday night. During the drives, Ahmed Hossain was detained from the city’s
Rampura area while Mohammad Sohail was held from the Banani area.”
