Bangladesh dismissed for 127 in 1st T20 against India

Bangladesh continued its reckless batting show to be

all out for 127 in 19.5 overs in the first of three-match T20 International

series against India in Gwalior today.

Playing his first T20 game after 14 months, Mehidy Hasan Miraz top-scored

with 35 not out but he failed to pace the innings when it mattered most.

Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto was the other notable scorer with 27. Asked to

bat first, Bangladesh lost two openers-Parvez Hossain Emon (8) and Liton Das

(5) in first 13 balls as pacer Arshdeep Singh came up with venom to dismantle

them.

Towhid Hridoy and Shanto looked to fix the things but leg-spinner Varun

Chakravarthy removed the former for 12 to break the partnership.

Indian new pace sensation, Mayank Yadav who made his debut in T20 format

today unsettled 38-year-old Mahmudullah Riyad (1) with express pace before

Varun struck again to dismiss Jaker Ali Anik for 8.

Varun also got rid of Rishad Hossain (11) who struck consecutive six and four

off Mayank Yadav in the first two balls h
e faced-to finish with 3-31.

Miraz kept one end intact but failed to go after the Indian bowlers when he

needed to rotate the scoreboard with high pace.

Hardik Pandya (1-26) and Arshdeep Singh cleaned up the tail to give India a

moderate target to chase. Arshdeep finally ended with 3-14.
