Annapurna Base Camp: The base camp of Annapurna-I has received a record-breaking number of tourists, marking a significant milestone in its tourism history. During the festive period, an exceptional influx of domestic tourists flooded the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at Narchyang in Annapurna Rural Municipality-4, located in the Myagdi district.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Ten Gurung, a campaigner of the trekking route, reported that approximately 3,000 visitors have arrived since the beginning of the Dashain vacation. The base camp has seen a substantial number of both domestic and foreign tourists, with nearly 300 of them currently residing at the camp since Wednesday.
The Annapurna-I peak, towering at 8,091 meters, attracts expedition teams ascending from the North Base Camp. Tourists are drawn to its captivating attractions, including the picturesque Panchakunda lake, stunning waterfalls, and areas rich in biodiversity.
To enhance the experience for visitors, the rural municipality has develo
ped a tourism master plan aimed at the development of the Annapurna Base Camp. In line with this plan, the rural municipality has allocated funds for infrastructure development and improved services for tourists, ensuring a more enriching visit to this renowned trekking destination.
