Aricha-Kazirhat Ferry Movement Resumes After 4-Hour Suspension

Aricha: Ferry movement on the Aricha-Kazirhat route in the Jamuna River resumed at 8:00 am this morning after being suspended for four hours, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) said.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Md. Abdullah, Manager of BIWTC Aricha ghat, stated that ferry operations were halted at 4:00 am due to poor visibility caused by thick fog blanketing the river. During this time, four ferries-Bir Shreshtha Hamidur Rahman, Shah Ali, Dhan Shiri, and Chitra-were stranded mid-river, loaded with vehicles and passengers.
