Magura: The athletics competition was held as part of the celebration of the Festival of Youth 2025 at the Magura district stadium on Tuesday. The event was organized by the Magura district administration with the cooperation of the Magura sports association.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the competition featured nine events for men and seven events for women participants, drawing athletes from across the region. The event was officially inaugurated by Magura Deputy Commissioner Md. Ohidul Islam, who served as the chief guest for the day-long celebration.
Notable attendees at the inauguration ceremony included Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Mostafizur Rahman (Salikha-Mohammadpur circle), district sports officers Anamika Das and Shaswati Shil, Additional District Magistrate Md. Rokunuzzaman, and Additional Deputy Commissioner (education and ICT) Md. Abdul Kader. The presence of these dignitaries underscored the importance of the event in promoting sports and youth engagement in the community.
