Dhaka: The two-day Inter-House Annual Sports Competition (2024-2025) of BAF Shaheen English Medium College (SEMC) successfully concluded at the college’s sports ground on January 26-27.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Air Vice-Marshal Mohammed M Khair Ul Afsar, the Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar and chairman of the SEMC governing body, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He congratulated the winners of various athletic events and distributed prizes to the participants.
Mercury House claimed the championship, securing 10 gold, 6 silver, and 8 bronze medals. Venus House followed closely as the runner-up, with 9 gold, 8 silver, and 11 bronze medals. Nafiur Rahman Shopno from Mercury House was recognized as the best athlete of the year, earning 2 gold and 1 bronze medals.
The event was attended by senior officers of the Bangladesh Air Force, teachers, parents, and students.
