Chattogram: Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farzana announced that the Bangladesh Betar Chattogram Center will undergo modernization to enhance its infrastructure and equip it with advanced instruments, aiming to make its programs more entertaining and engaging.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Secretary Farzana emphasized that the modernization project would enable officials and artists at the center to produce programs that are more appealing to listeners. Her remarks came during a visit to the Bangladesh Betar Chattogram Center, where she inspected the ongoing construction of a 20-story building. This building is part of the ‘Bangladesh Betar Chattogram Center Modernization and Installation of Digital Broadcasting Equipment’ project, located in the city’s Agrabad Commercial area.
The Information and Broadcasting Secretary expressed optimism about the project, which is valued at approximately Tk 21 crore, being completed within the scheduled timeline. During her visit, she was accompanied by Rashed Al Amin, Joint Secretary of the Information Ministry, Bangladesh Betar Director General ASM Jahid Hossain, Chief Engineer Munir Ahmed, Director of Bangladesh Betar Chattogram Mahfuzul Hoque, and Project Director Ashifur Rahman, among others.
