Bhotekoshi: Tourists who went missing in the aftermath of the Bhotekoshi flood have been rescued. According to National News Agency Nepal, 117 tourists from various countries who were missing have been rescued.
NTB’s Officiating Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hikmat Singh Ayer reported that among the rescued foreign tourists, 85 are from India, 16 from China, nine from South Korea, two from the United States, and two from Italy. Additionally, three individuals whose nationalities were not disclosed have also been rescued.
Officiating CEO Ayer mentioned that the search and rescue operations for the missing tourists have been intensified in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal Tourism Board, Tourist Police, and local administration.
Besides this, trekking companies, guides, and security bodies are trying to rescue tourists and locals stuck in the affected areas. NTB has stated that it is coordinating with various agencies to collect and verify details of missing persons and is updating the information.
The Nepal Tourism Board has asked people to contact the toll-free number 1234, hotline number 1144, or tourism police at 9851289445 for any information or assistance.
