Kathmandu: Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities, and Social Security Minister, Sita Badi, has directed the relevant agencies to conduct a detailed study aimed at transforming Bhrikutimandap into an organized, safe, clean, green, inclusive, and citizen-friendly public centre.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Badi recently inspected various activities and structures within the Bhrikutimandap area. During her visit, she assessed the conditions of the goat and vegetable market, the garden, the exhibition hall, and various stalls, as well as the exhibition and commercial areas, open and green spaces, parking facilities, cleanliness, public toilets, and walking areas.
On this occasion, Minister Badi collected information from the relevant officials and management about the utilization and management of the premises, the state of trade and service operations, income generation, and the benefits that the state and citizens derive from it.
Minister Badi’s personal secretariat revealed that she stressed the importance of developing Bhrikutimandap in a manner that maximizes the use of the available space and structures. She highlighted that the area, being an important public property in the heart of the capital, should not be confined to its current form.
