Bangladesh Krira Unnayan Parishad (BKUP) will hold
a protest meeting and human chain in front of National Sports Council
tomorrow (Wednesday) demanding removal of corrupted and dishonest officials
in the country’s sports arena, said a press release.
The protest meeting, to be participated by all players, organizers and well
wishers, will be held at 10.30 am.
The press release read that the country’s sports arena and federations have
been almost destroyed in the last fifteen years after Sheikh Hasina’s
government came in power. In this situation, the players and organizations
are concern with the country’s sports arena and keen to rebuild all
federations of the country, Bangladesh Olympic Association, Bangladesh Women
Sports Association with honest and competent organizers in new way.
In the protest meeting, the players and organizers will also demand formation
all federations of the country with the tested, professional and voluntary
organizers.
