Awami League joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, MP, today said BNP relies on their foreign masters and conspiracy as they think these will put them in power.
“I would like to urge them to take part in the election. People have already seen your (BNP) so called movements. This will bring no good for you,” he said.
Hanif said these while addressing a memorial meeting on valiant freedom fighter and noted actor Akbar Hossain Pathan Faruk organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote at Dhaka University TSC Auditorium this afternoon.
“BNP’s movement will remain unsuccessful. General election will take place on time and under this government as per the constitution. If you want to check your popularity, take part in the election. Country’s people are the source of all power,” Hanif added.
Presided over by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote vice-president M Nadim Mahmud and conducted by its general secretary Md Ahsan Siddiqui, the memorial meeting was attended by Awami League deputy publication secretary Syed Abdul Awal Shamim, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University vice-chancellor Dr Sharfuddin Ahmed, Jubo League organising Secretary Dr Helal Uddin, Gourob 71 general secretary FM Shahin, and Faruk’s son Rowshan Hossain Pathan Shorot, among others.
