Professor Nahreen Akhter, chairman of Fetomaternal
Medicine Department of BSMMU, has been appointed as the new treasurer of
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
By the approval of President Mohammed Shahabuddin, also the chancellor of the
university, Dr Nahreen Akhter has been appointed as the treasurer for a four-
year term, a press release said here today.
The Head of State gave her the appointment following Clause 16 of the BSMMU
Act-1998, according to a gazette notification signed by Deputy Secretary of
Health and Family welfare Ministry Mohammad Kamal Hossain.
