Dhaka: Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Muhammad Yunus today extended his greetings to the members of the Hindu community on the occasion of Saraswati Puja. The Hindu community is preparing to celebrate Saraswati Puja, honoring the Goddess of knowledge, across the country tomorrow with traditional enthusiasm and religious fervor.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in a message on the eve of the festival, Professor Yunus emphasized that Bangladesh is a land of communal harmony. He remarked that for thousands of years, individuals of all religions have coexisted peacefully in the country, irrespective of caste, color, and religion. “The country belongs to all of us and is a safe place for all people regardless of religion or caste,” stated the Chief Adviser.
He further highlighted that the interim government, established through the remarkable uprising of students, workers, and the masses on August 5, is tirelessly working to enhance the well-being of all citizens, irrespective of race, religion, and caste, ensuring their equal rights. Professor Yunus also described the Goddess Saraswati as a symbol of truth, justice, and enlightenment. He urged the Hindu community to dedicate themselves to the country’s development and progress by embracing knowledge.
Professor Muhammad Yunus concluded by wishing peace, welfare, and prosperity for all citizens of Bangladesh.
