Davos: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today held a meeting with Wolfgang Schmidt, Head of the Federal Chancellery and Federal Minister for Special Tasks, Federal Chancellery of Germany, during the World Economic Forum summit in Davos, Switzerland. This meeting marks a significant engagement between the two officials amidst the ongoing international economic discussions.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief Adviser is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with King Philippe of Belgium and Thailand Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra. Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder provided this information, highlighting the busy schedule of the Chief Adviser during the summit.
The Chief Adviser is also expected to meet Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank. These meetings are set to address various significant topics relevant to the ongoing global economic dialogue.
Yesterday, January 21, Professor Yunus participated in six different programmes in Davos. He engaged in discussions with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, further emphasizing his active participation at the World Economic Forum Summit.
Additionally, Professor Yunus held a meeting with Finland President Alexander Stubb and joined a session with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, illustrating his commitment to addressing pressing global issues at the summit.
