Kathmandu: Campaigners have urged the government to take necessary initiatives to return the savings of financial cooperatives victims soon.
At a news conference organized by National Campaign for the Protection of Cooperative Depositors (Federation) here on Monday, speakers laid emphasis that the depositors should get their savings immediately as depositors are also facing problems to meet their medical treatment costs.
The Federation was compelled to launch peaceful demonstration in the street as the government did not pay any interest in the implementation of the past agreement till 95th days of launching the third-phase agitation, it was shared.
Federation President Kushalab KC said four financial cooperative victims have lost their lives in course of agitation launched for the past 16 months.
A peaceful protest would be held on September 1 on the occasion of 101 days of launching of the third-phase of agitation, he shared.
