Cash Incentive Given to Farmers to Enhance Productivity


Gorkha: The Dharche Rural Municipality in the Gorkha district has provided cash incentives to farmers as a measure to increase agricultural productivity. In the last fiscal year 2081/82, the rural municipality distributed Rs 467,500 in grants based on production.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Anil Nepali, the chief of the agriculture section of the rural municipality, stated that the grants were provided to farmers both individually and in groups. The initiative aimed to support the cultivation of cash crops, fruits, and livestock rearing. Beneficiaries of the incentive included farmers growing Akabare (chilly), dragon fruits, potato, orange, and banana, as well as beekeepers.
