Kathmandu: The country has witnessed the effect of a westerly low-pressure system and local wind, causing the likelihood of cloudy weather in various places. Light to moderate rainfall and snow are predicted in some hilly and mountainous regions across the country later today. Thunder and lightning are also likely to accompany the rainfall.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the weather forecasting service has indicated that Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, along with the mountainous belt of the Koshi Province, are expected to experience generally cloudy weather. In contrast, the rest of the country should have clear weather.
Some areas within the Koshi, Bagmati, and Madhes Provinces are forecasted to receive moderate rainfall, potentially accompanied by lightning, hail, and storms later today. As night falls, it will become generally to fully cloudy. Koshi, Madhes, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces are predicted to have moderate rainfall during the night.
