Kathmandu: The private secretariat of Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut has expressed concern over a fake Twitter (X) account created in the name of CJ Raut. The secretariat clarified that CJ Raut does not have a Twitter account.
According to National News Agency Nepal, a press statement was issued by Nawin Kumar Yadav, deputy registrar at CJ Raut’s private secretariat. The statement highlighted that the secretariat’s attention was drawn to media reports about an ‘irrelevant post by CJ’s Twitter account’ and suspicions of hacking. It emphasized the seriousness of the situation regarding the account and the messages it posted.
The deputy registrar also urged all concerned parties not to believe the posts, describing them as a misdeed aimed at spreading misleading information, creating distrust in the judiciary, and tarnishing CJ Raut’s reputation.
The statement called for the immediate removal of the content and directed the investigation agency to take action against those responsible for the fake account and its posts.
