Putha Uttarganga: CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Narpura Buda has emerged victorious in the by-election for the post of vice-chairperson of Putha Uttarganga rural municipality.
According to National News Agency Nepal, in the by-election held on Sunday, Buda defeated Kesh Kumari Tulachan, who represented the coalition of CPN (UML) and NC, to secure the position of Vice-Chairperson. Buda garnered 3,627 votes, surpassing his rival Tulachan, who obtained 2,128 votes, resulting in a victory margin of 1,499 votes.
It is noteworthy that Jagat Gharti from the CPN (Maoist Centre) had already been unanimously elected as the ward chairperson of ward no 2 within the same rural municipality. The by-election was conducted on December 1 to fill 41 vacant posts at various local levels across the country.
