Curfew Imposed in Key Areas of Bhaktapur District


Kathmandu: The District Administration Office in Bhaktapur has implemented a curfew order starting from 8:30 am today, which will remain in effect until further notice. The order was issued by Chief District Officer Namaraj Ghimire under clause 6 (A) of the Local Administration Act, 2028. It strictly prohibits all forms of movement, gatherings, demonstrations, rallies, meetings, and picketing within the designated areas.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the curfew is a preventive measure to ensure law and order and to prevent any potential disturbances. The restrictions affect areas within Bhaktapur Municipality, Changunarayan Municipality, and Suryabinayak Municipality.



The specific locations under curfew include Jadibuti, Radheradhe, Balkot, Nikosera, Pepsikola, and a 200-meter stretch along the Araniko Highway from Jadibuti to Sanga. The authorities have emphasized the importance of compliance with the curfew to maintain public safety and order.
