Lalitpur: The District Administration Office in Lalitpur has announced a curfew from 7:00 am to 12:00 midnight today in certain parts of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City. Chief District Officer Suman Ghimire issued this order under clause 6 (A) of the Local Administration Act, 2028.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the curfew restricts all forms of movement, gatherings, demonstrations, rallies, meetings, and picketing within designated areas. The affected wards include numbers 2, 4, 9, 18, and 25. Specific locations under the curfew are Bhainsepati, Sanepa, the area from CG Housing to Chhobhar gorge, the stretch from Gayatri Petrol Pump to Bishnudevi Mandir, the Indrayani Mandir area to Manmohan Park, the Manohara river corridor, Chyasal stadium, and Malpokhari.
CDO Ghimire emphasized that the curfew aims to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure the maintenance of law and order in these areas.
