Chitwan: Dairy farmers from Bangladesh have come here to learn about milk production, processing, and marketing systems in the district. A 17-member team of dairy farmers from Bangladesh, led by Manrup Islam, will observe local dairy producer cooperatives and cow farms here today.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the visiting team discussed milk production and the local situation with the District Dairy Producers Cooperative Association on Monday. Kishor Bagale, the Chitwan president of the Association, stated that the Bangladeshi dairy farmers have gathered information about the status of milk production, the distribution system, and the condition of dairy farmers in the region.
President Bagale mentioned that knowledge sharing occurred during the discussions, focusing on how farmers from the two countries produce milk and market it. He also provided insights into good practices in dairy farming within the district and the process of bringing in improved breed cows.
The Bangladeshi team shared information on their progress in milk production, processing, and distribution. They are scheduled to study the dairy farming practices in Nawalparasi today and will return to Kathmandu on Wednesday.
