DMP to Probe Within One Hour of Filing GD


Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner SM Sazzatat Ali has announced that a primary investigation must be conducted within an hour of filing a general diary (GD) at any police station. This directive aims to ensure timely responses to citizens’ reports and enhance the efficiency of police operations.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Commissioner Ali emphasized the importance of prompt action in GD investigations during his speech at the conclusion of a training program focused on GD Investigation. The event was organized by the Planning, Research and Human Resource Development Division of DMP in Dhaka.



The commissioner urged police personnel to maintain professionalism in their duties to build trust with the public. He highlighted the significance of swift investigations in achieving this goal. Following his address, he distributed certificates to the trainees, marking the completion of the program. The training was attended by two hundred police members, who participated in four phases.



Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) SN Md. Nazrul Islam, along with other senior police officials, was present at the ceremony, underscoring the importance of the initiative in enhancing the skills and responsiveness of the police force.
