Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has been designated as the acting Prime Minister. Singh will assume the role in the absence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who departed for China earlier today.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Singh’s appointment as acting Prime Minister was made on the recommendation of Prime Minister Oli. The Office of the President issued an official notice confirming Singh’s new responsibilities as he steps into the interim leadership role.
