New Delhi: Vice Chairman of Lumbini Development Trust Dr Lharkyal Lama has urged Buddhist scholars to visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Addressing the First Asian Buddhist Summit-2024 held in New Delhi, India, Dr Lama expressed the Trust’s eagerness to welcome all Buddhist scholars to Lumbini.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Dr Lama emphasized that the teachings of Buddha are increasingly relevant for promoting world peace in today’s times. He highlighted the importance of Buddhist Summits and related events in spreading these vital messages.
Dr Lama also advocated for more research into Buddhist philosophy and practices. He believes that such efforts are essential for disseminating messages of peace and tolerance across the globe.
