Rasuwa: A dry landslide occurred today at the Rasuwagadhi area in Rasuwa district has caused damage to several huts, leaving a youth injured. Chief of Rasuwa Police, Hem Bahadur Shahi, reported that Bimaldas Tharu, 19, from Parsa district, who is currently employed at a local workshop, sustained serious chest and head injuries from the landslide. Tharu has been rushed to Kathmandu for further medical treatment.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the persistent dry landslide has been a significant issue in the area, disrupting vehicular movement over an extended period. The landslide has caused damage to various vehicles and structures, including excavators, tractors, containers, jeeps, and pre-fabricated buildings belonging to security bodies. Additionally, a health desk at the Nepal-China border and a local tea house have also been affected.
As the landslide activity continued at the Rasuwagadhi point, police personnel took precautionary measures by positioning themselves on the bank of the Lehendekhola to ensure their safety, as reported by the police.
