Chitwan: Rimjhimkali has given birth to a calf at the Elephant Breeding Centre at Khorsor of Chitwan National Park in Chitwan. Centre Chief Manipuran Chaudhary announced that Rimjhimkali delivered her first calf on Friday night.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the newborn calf will be named on the 12th day. The Centre Chief also revealed that other elephants, namely Tamorkali, Tirthamankali, Loktantrakali, and Chitwankali, are currently pregnant, signaling further additions to the Centre’s elephant population.
The Elephant Breeding Centre now hosts a total of nine female elephants and eight calves, marking a significant milestone in their conservation efforts.
