Kathmandu: US Ambassador to Nepal, Dean R Thompson, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Kulman Ghising, and discussed the implementation status of projects being constructed with US assistance in Nepal. Also featured during the meeting held on Wednesday were Nepal-US cooperation and the reconstruction of public structures damaged during the Gen-Z protests in Nepal.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the US Ambassador congratulated the newly appointed Minister Ghising on behalf of the United States and wished him a successful tenure. Minister Ghising informed that the main priorities of the current government are reconstructing the structures damaged in the protest, holding elections to the House of Representatives, and maintaining good governance. On the occasion, Ambassador Thompson committed to continuing US assistance to Nepal.
