Kathmandu: An anthology of poems titled ‘Bahini Lai Chithi’ (letter to sister) penned by former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa was released today. The book, dedicated to his sister Bimala Bista, comprises six sections including philosophy of life, separation, political themes, and nationalism.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the anthology explores various themes such as love among siblings, separation, happiness, and betrayal. The collection was released by literary writer Rama Sharma, who is also the chairperson of the Nepal Education Council. Sharma remarked that the poems possess the power to transform isolation into strength.
She expressed her belief that the anthology will enrich Nepali literature. Author Thapa shared that his interest in literature led him to compose the poems, which express the pain of separation from his sister.
