Biratnagar: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has announced that the existing coalition government will continue its course. Speaking to the media at Biratnagar Airport, the former Prime Minister and current parliamentary leader of the major coalition government partner emphasized the necessity for a broader consensus, stressing the importance of securing a two-thirds majority to amend the Constitution.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Deuba reassured that the NC’s upcoming general convention would be organized at an appropriate time. He further clarified that there are no immediate plans for reshuffling the ministers from the NC within the NC-UML government.
Deuba also addressed constitutional matters, stating that the Constitution does not prevent a former President or former Vice-President from re-entering the political arena.
