Eye Specialists from Singapore to Provide Treatment for Uprising Injuries


Dhaka: Eye specialists from Singapore are set to offer medical treatment to individuals who sustained eye injuries during the July-August student-people uprising. The treatment will take place at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital (NIOH) at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, as well as the Bangladesh Eye Hospital in Dhanmondi, on February 1 and 2.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, specialists with expertise in retina, cornea, neuro-ophthalmology, and oculoplastic surgery from Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore National Eye Centre, National University Hospital, and Alexandra Hospital, will be in attendance. These experts will provide care to those who suffered critical eye injuries during the movement.



The treatment sessions are scheduled from 9 am to 4 pm on both days. Injured individuals and their families are encouraged to register by contacting 01337343389 for NIOH and 10620 for the Bangladesh Eye Hospital.
