Festivals Have Further Strengthened Social Unity, Says Nepali Congress President.


kathmandu: Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba emphasized the role of festivals in strengthening social unity. In a message delivered on the occasion of Tihar and Nepal Sambat 1145, he extended best wishes to all Nepali people for their peace, progress, happiness, and longevity. He highlighted the role of festivals in fostering cordial and harmonious relations among people.

According to National News Agency Nepal, President Deuba noted that Nepal’s diverse castes, ethnicities, languages, religions, festivals, and cultures have established a unique unity, which promotes fraternity. He stressed that this diversity contributes to the country’s social cohesion.

Deuba further elaborated on the significance of Tihar, stating that it has consolidated unity among Nepalis. He remarked that every day of Yamapanchak has helped create new enthusiasm among all Nepalis, enhancing cordial relations between sisters, brothers, and relatives.
