Fire Destroys Property Worth Over Rs 10 Million in Bardibas.


Bardibas: Property worth more than Rs 10 million has been gutted by fire sparked by an electric short-circuit here at Bardibas Municipality-14. The incident occurred last night at the New Durga Electric Suppliers store located at Aurahi Road on the Bardibas-Jaleshwor roadway, the Area Police Office, Mahottari said.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the fire destroyed goods in six out of the 13 shutters on the ground floor of a three-storied building owned by Ram Sewak Mahato. The fire originated from the electric shop owned by Sahajis Nadaf of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-13, Dhanusha district. Nadaf had rented the entire house to operate his electric store.

The local community, in collaboration with the Nepali Army and Nepal Police personnel, worked together to control the fire. The blaze was extinguished with the assistance of four fire engines, including one from Ramgopalpur Municipality, stated Rewati Raman Pokharel, the Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Area Police Office Bardibas.
