The authorities of
Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia today appointed new chairmen in five
departments for the next three years.
IU deputy registrar (admin) Dr Waliur Rahman in the absence of acting
registrar H M Ali Hasan confirmed the matter to the news agency.
The newly appointed chairmen were Assistant Professor Mehedi Hasan of Law and
Land Management Department, Assistant Professor Shahidul Islam of Human
Resource Management Department, Assistant Professor Atifa Kafi of Development
Studies Department, Assistant Professor Asma Sadia Runa of Social Welfare
Department, Assistant Professor Shariful Islam of tourism and Hospitality
Management Department.
They will assume their new roles on September 21.
