Five Rural Municipalities in Humla Wait for Chief Administrative Officer


Humla: Five rural municipalities in Humla district have been without a chief administrative officer since the third week of January. The absence of these crucial officers has significantly disrupted daily operations, leaving service seekers to bear the brunt of the delay.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the positions remain vacant at Simkot, Sarkegad, Chankheli, Adanchuli, and Tanjakot rural municipalities. The government-appointed officers have yet to arrive, exacerbating the situation. The delay has not only impacted routine services but also put a halt to development projects and postponed the winter municipal assembly.

Adanchuli rural municipality had scheduled its assembly for February 9, but without an administrative officer, it was forced to postpone the gathering, as confirmed by the rural municipality chair, Mohan Bikram Singh.
