Kathmandu: The Ministry of Finance has established a Focal Unit to enhance coordination with foreign investors and international development finance institutions. The Unit was created under the International Economic Relations Division within the ministry. It aims to strengthen collaboration with other ministries and relevant bodies concerning foreign investment.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Spokesperson of the Finance Ministry, Tanka Prasad Pandey, stated that the Unit would provide essential coordination and facilitation on matters related to banking, revenue, and other issues directly associated with the Finance Ministry for foreign investors. The initiative is expected to play a crucial role in eliminating barriers to incoming investment and ensuring timely service delivery.
