Former railway minister Md Nurul Islam Sujon was arrested from Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the city’s Shyamoli area last night around 10pm.
DMP Deputy Commissioner (Wari Division) Mohammad Saleh Uddin told BSS that, he has been arrested in connection with a murder case lodged with Jatrabari Thana of the capital.
Sujon was elected as a Member of Parliament for the first time in 2008 in the 9th National Parliament Election. After that, he was elected Member of Parliament three times in a row.
He took oath as Railway Minister on January 7, 2019.
