Dodhara-chandani: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak announced that the foundation stone for the dry port in Dodhara-Chandani will be laid during the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to India. Both the Nepali Prime Minister and the Indian Prime Minister are expected to participate in this significant event, marking a collaborative effort between the two nations.
According to National News Agency Nepal, during a training session organized by the Nepali Congress, Home Minister Lekhak emphasized the importance of the dry port, which is set to become the largest in the country. This development is anticipated to enhance trade and economic activities in the region, further strengthening ties between Nepal and India.
Minister Lekhak also highlighted the recent safety improvements in Dodhara-Chandani, citing the construction of dams on the Mahakali and Jogbudha river banks. He mentioned that additional embankments will be built to protect areas still vulnerable to flooding from the Jogbudha River.
Furthermore, he acknowledged the significant contribution of the Nepali Congress in the constitution-making process and its ongoing role in fortifying the democratic governance system in Nepal.
