Kathmandu: A total of 17 candidacies have been filed for the presidential post at the Tribhuvan University (TU) Central College in view of the Free Students Union (FSU) elections.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Campus election officer Prof Dr Krishna Prasad Neupane announced that the list of candidates includes representatives from various students’ unions. Notable candidates include Deepak Raj Joshi from the Nepal Students Union (NSU), Siddhant Bhatta from the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), and Prabin Dahal from the All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), along with several independent candidates.
The total number of registered voters from the campus is 6,146. The final list of candidates will be published at 7:00 pm today.
The FSU elections are scheduled to take place at the TU central campus and its constituent campuses on March 18, aiming to elect new student leaders.
