Gamgadhi: Vehicular movement along the Gamgadhi-Balai-Pina roadway has come to a complete halt due to landslides and floods triggered by rainfall for two months.
According to National News Agency Nepal, debris has accumulated at various points along the road, and some sections have collapsed, awaiting repair and reconstruction. The obstruction has caused significant inconvenience to transportation and the mobility of local residents.
The locals are forced to use a longer alternative route to carry food grains and fetch medicines. A local resident, Dan Bahadur Shahi, stated, “Landslides occurred in most places along the roadway. No one has paid attention to resume the blocked road. Locals have been facing problem even in their daily mobility.”
Acting Mayor of Chhayanath Rara municipality, Aishwarya Malla, mentioned that the landslide debris would be cleared once the rainfall ceases.
