Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has emphasized the significance of the Gaura festival in highlighting women’s power, dedication, and devotion to cultural traditions. In his message on the occasion of the Gaura festival, Deuba noted the festival’s enthusiastic celebration, particularly in the Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces of Nepal, which has left a profound cultural impact and contributed to a unique identity for these regions.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Deuba remarked that Nepal’s society, rich with diverse cultural and religious traditions, boasts many unique customs and traditions to take pride in. He highlighted that Gaura Parva transcends being merely a religious ritual, serving as a foundation for social unity, reconciliation, mutual harmony, and cultural preservation.
Deuba extended his heartfelt wishes for the Gaura festival, hoping it inspires an atmosphere of happiness, peace, and prosperity among all Nepalis, both within the country and abroad.
