Kathmandu: The government has officially decided to appoint Santosh Narayan Shrestha as the new Chairperson of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). This decision was taken during a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the announcement was made by the government’s Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung. The decision marks a significant step in the leadership of the country’s securities regulatory body.
In addition to the appointment, the Cabinet has also approved the itinerary for an upcoming visit to China by a delegation that includes the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba. This visit is part of the preparatory work for Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s forthcoming trip to China, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations.
