Kathmandu: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has urged groups engaged in street agitations to engage in dialogue with the government. Talking to the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) after a meeting with security chiefs today, the Home Minister emphasized that the government is always prepared for dialogue and discussion to resolve issues.
According to National News Agency Nepal, a high-level security meeting was convened in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki at her official residence in Baluwatar today. The Home Minister highlighted the importance of dialogue, stating, “Government addresses the political demand, so dialogue is imperative. There is no need of taking to street. It is essential to be aware of others’ right while exercising one’s own rights.” He also urged all parties involved not to damage public and private property and requested political forces and agitating groups to refrain from violent activities.
The Minister further informed that the security meeting conducted a thorough assessment of the current security situation in the country. He assured that the government is committed to establishing an environment conducive to the March 5 election by normalizing the security situation.
