Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has announced the formation of a grievance handling unit led by Dr Anup Bastola. The newly established committee includes Information Technology Director Ramesh Raj Subedi, Section Officer Gauri Prasad Acharya, and the Ministry’s Information Officer as its members. This unit aims to address and manage the grievances of stakeholders and service recipients associated with the Ministry and its line agencies.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the unit was formed following a decision by Minister for Health and Population Pradip Paudel on December 1. The primary function of this unit is to gather complaints from service recipients and promptly forward these concerns to the relevant divisions within the ministry for immediate action. Dr Prakash Budhathoki, the Ministry’s Spokesperson, stated that the unit is also tasked with implementing recommendations and addressing queries efficiently.
