Butwal: Traffic has been disrupted on the Butwal-Narayangadh road following the heavy rainfall on Wednesday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Daunne section of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Sustaeast) along the East-West Highway has been completely blocked after roads turned slippery due to the rain. The road near Ghiukhola and Bishwakarma Temple in Daunne has become muddy and slippery, with vehicles becoming stuck on the road, as stated by Superintendent of Police Yubaraj Khadka of the District Police Office, Nawalparasi. The road conditions have led to traffic jams since the rain began on Wednesday afternoon.
The Narayangadh-Butwal Road Project has indicated that efforts are underway to repair the road by laying gravel in the Daunne section. The ongoing construction work on the Daunne section under the Butwal-Narayangadh road expansion has not been completed, resulting in continued blockage even after minor rainfall.
