High Court Judges Take Oath of Office


Kathmandu: Twenty-seven newly-appointed High Court judges took the oath of office and secrecy today. The oath was administered by High Court Patan Chief Judge Lal Bahadur Kunwar during a ceremony held at the Supreme Court in the presence of Chief Justice of Supreme Court Prakashman Singh Raut.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Judicial Council meeting on August 7 decided to appoint the 27 judges and assign them to various High Court and its benches across the country.



The newly-appointed 27 judges deputed in the High Court include Yam Bahadur Budhamagar for High Court Surkhet, Gopal Prasad Bastola for High Court Patan, Giriraj Gautam for High Court Dipayal, Yubraj Gautam for High Court Biratnagar, Tej Narayan Poudel for High Court Tulasipur, Prakash Dhungana for High Court Patan, Deepak Kumar Kharel for High Court Patan, Kamal Prasad Pokharel for High Court Janakpur, Shiva Bahadur Ranabhat for High Court Patan, Basudev Neupane for High Court Patan, Dal Bahadur KC for High Court Tulasipur, Prakash Chandra Adhikari for High Court Dipayal, Ramesh Prasad Gyawali for High Court Patan, Uday Prasad Bhattarai for High Court Biratnagar, and Awani Mainali Bhattarai for High Court Patan.



Similarly, the other appointees include Khadga Raj Adhikari for High Court Dipayal, Shankar Khatri for High Court Janakpur, Achyut Kuinkel for High Court Patan, Komal Bahadur Khatri for High Court Surkhet, Sharmila Bista for High Court Patan, Pratap Singh Thakurathi for High Court Tulasipur, Bal Krishna Gaire for High Court Pokhara, Nisha Baniya for High Court Tulasipur, Shyam Kumar Bishwokarma for High Court Dipayal, and Arun Kumat Panjiyar for High Court Biratnagar.
