High-Level Good Governance Commission Convenes First Meeting

Kathmandu: The High-level Good Governance Commission convened its inaugural meeting today under the leadership of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar, focusing on the commission’s purpose, scope of work, and priority agenda.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the commission’s second full meeting is scheduled for next week, aiming to swiftly nominate representatives from political parties, experts, and the private sector. This initiative follows the Cabinet’s decision on April 21 to establish a 15-member commission chaired by Prime Minister Oli.

The commission includes prominent figures such as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasiya, and Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Rajkumar Gupta, among others.
