Bara: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has stated that the government will take steps to include the Gadhimai Temple of Bara district in the World Heritage Site list. The temple, located at Bariyarpur, has the potential to enhance Nepal’s global recognition. The government is dedicated to preserving the Gadhimai Temple, Minister Lekhak emphasized.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Lekhak also promised to ensure robust security arrangements ahead of the Gadhimai fair, instructing the Chief District Officer to mobilize additional security forces as necessary. This move underscores the importance of maintaining security during the fair.
Furthermore, the Home Minister engaged in discussions with Chief District Officers and security chiefs to guarantee comprehensive security measures for the Gadhimai fair. He encouraged the fair’s organizing committee to install CCTVs at the temple to facilitate worship for the public.
