Godavari: A man has shot dead his wife and unsuccessfully tried to kill himself in Godavari. Ram Bahadur Magar, 31, from Ameleshani village in Godavari Municipality-4, Kailali, shot his 27-year-old wife, Sanjita Magar, leading to her immediate death at the scene.
According to National News Agency Nepal, after shooting his wife, Ram Bahadur attempted to take his own life but failed in his attempt. He was found in an unconscious state and was rushed to Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi. The incident was reported by Yogendra Timilsina, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Kailali.
Citing local sources, Timilsina revealed that the couple had been involved in a heated argument while grazing goats in a forest near their village on Wednesday afternoon. In a moment of rage, Ram Bahadur shot his wife. The police were alerted by locals on the same night, prompting a police team to visit the scene and commence an investigation. The exact time of the incident is yet to be confirmed, but further investigations are ongoing.
